It was a honour and privilege to be asked by Tom Napier, Business Leader at Haltemprice Crematorium to lead their first Christmas Memorial Service in December 2024.

The reality is, Christmas is often seen as a season of joy and celebration, where family gather, presents are shared and good food is enjoyed. For many, it is a season where memories are made. For others, it can be a season of profound sorrow and longing. My heart, in leading the service, was to offer a safe space for all who attended, to be able to acknowledge the bittersweet nature of the season and remember with love and affection those who have passed.

I would like to thank Tom and the team for their support leading up to, and on the day of the service. It was a privilege to be able to take the service, and work alongside them to support our community during the Christmas season.
